Finances tracker
This is the finances tracker you have been waiting for!
You can create multiple accounts or simply - categories, in which your money flows. This tracker has 4 different views that allow you to see everything at a glance:
- Accounts - this is a board view, where you can move your transactions with ease.
On the top row there is a name of your account and next to it there is a sum of all the amounts you put in every account!
- Everything - this table view allows you to see everything in one spot. It is a bit messy, but in the bottom row you can see a sum of every transaction in that month.
- Spent and Earned - this table view allows you to see everything you spent or earned.
This tracker is based on a monthly perspective - every month has its own database
- you create a new month in the button between this month and Monthly overview.
Monthly overview is there for you to see how your money status changes during year or longer periods. It is not automated, so you have to fill it out every month.
How it works:
In the beginning of every month, fill a Starting balance amount, based on the actual data of your finances. When you've been using this tracker for over a month, fill it based on the last month, so that your records are consistent. Read the number next to the name of that account. It is a sum of the amounts you put before.
Whenever you want to add a new record, simply add it using the plus buttons or New. Don't forget to add a date, type and assign it to an account.
The type "" is there for movements in between your accounts. So don't forget, when f.e: you move your money from bank to cash, subtract from bank and add to cash. I hope it makes sense. Look in the month of April to see it in action.
At the end of the month, fill the Monthly overview - if you want extra control of your finances. There are three categories - earned, spent and savings. The first two can be found in views of this database, the last one is an account Savings. This is just optional.
Then you can create a new month and archive the last one. Don't forget to fill account balance before you archive that last month.
Some extra tips:
Don't worry about perfection - it is more about consistency than perfection
Customize it to your needs. Not everyone needs savings this visible.
For example:
- create your accounts
- add categories - groceries monthly, how much do you spend on beauty products? is your monthly fee too high?
But don’t forget to edit template button “”, so that you don't have to do this every month.
